Robert "Bob" M. Ammon passed away on August 5, 2023, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He was surrounded by the love of his family when he peacefully passed. Bob was 44 years old.
Bob is survived by his wife, Christine C. Ammon of Medford Lakes, NJ; Robert V. Ammon and Marion L. Ammon of Willingboro, NJ; and sisters, Lisa Hopkins and Bethany Ammon, both of Mount Holly, NJ.
Bob was born on November 9, 1978 on Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota. He attended Holy Cross High School, graduating in 1998. Bob later earned associates degrees from DeVry University in Electronics and from Camden County Community College in Photonics, which led to his career as a Laser Engineer. He traveled extensively in the United States during his approximately 20 years working for Precision Laser of West Berlin, New Jersey. In 2016, Bob married his best friend and love of his life, Christine, and they shortly thereafter moved to Medford Lakes, New Jersey. They are expecting their first child in March 2024. Bob was thrilled and in awe that he would soon be a father.
He is remembered by his family as a deeply sensitive and incredibly loving man who always helped those in need. He was a dedicated and supportive son, brother, husband, uncle, and friend.
Bob was passionate about cars, particularly classic cars, and enjoyed working on his '68 Barracuda when he was not busy solving the world's problems. He was an athlete and had been training to participate in his first triathlon. Bob was also well-known for his deep affection for his dogs. He was especially connected to his gray pitbull-boxer, Gus, who passed away in August of last year. Bob enjoyed floating in the Lakes near his home, as well as spending time at the Jersey shore. He looked forward to cooking with his wife and baking pies for his parents. He loved his sisters dearly and would frequently reminisce of their childhood growing up together in the Ammon home. Bob was also very attentive to politics and did not shy away from debate, but had a wonderful sense of humor that made everyone smile. Lastly, Bob was truly gifted in his ability to fix nearly anything and he had a remarkable technical mind. There was no problem he was unwilling to tackle, and seldom a problem he could not fix. He will always be our hero.
Relatives and friends may visit from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, N.J. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. after the visitation.

My associates and I are long time clients of Bob´s, but he made us feel like we were all old friends. He worked with a high measure of ethics and demonstrated exceptional values.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family because of your great loss and that his bright light has gone dim, in his all too short, but beautiful life.

Sincere Condolances

Bobby was always there to help anyone at any time. He was a great friend to my son Jeff and to our family. He had a great family who always supported him. He will be greatly missed. I am sure he is helping someone in heaven right now!
