I met Rob when my children had him for a teacher at Lincoln school. Rob was different from all other teachers I'd experienced while raising my five children. He was grounded, supportive. committed to excellence, excited about education and truly cared about each and every child in his classroom. My children enjoyed going to his class everyday. He made learning fun!!! He established boundaries and he valued accountability which provoked sense of security for children in his classroom. He poured himself into everyday and provided, over and above, what it took to achieve his dream of what a classroom should look like, so that teaching and reaching children was not "cookie cutter" in their learning. He always had time to talk, time for adventure, time for laughter and a heart for people, family, friends and children. Rob is a shining example of the impact a teacher can have on a young life and I was very grateful to have known him. He will be missed; his memory and legacy of learning will continue through the "Rob Arneson Memorial Scholarship Fund" by making a difference in a child's life through his love of learning.
