Robert Lee Ashbrook, 87, passed away on April 18, 2024. Robert was born April 28, 1936, in Johnstown, PA. He graduated from Hower High School, attended the University of Akron and worked as an apprentice. Bob later retired from supervision at Babcock and Wilcox after twenty-six years and then from Desenco after six years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a classic car enthusiast. He would go to car shows often and had many friends with the same interest. He was a knowledgeable mechanic and willingly helped many others with their classic cars. Bob was a member of National Lodge #568 for 54 years.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 31 years Annamae; mother, Elsie; father, Paul; sister, Dona Rongone; mother-in-law, Margaret Taylor and father-in-law Carl C. Taylor.
He will be deeply missed by his children, Richard (Penny), Kimberly (Michael) Bailey, Renee (Shawn) Fallon of Texas; sisters, Patty Wyatt, Sandra Mazzacco and Debbi (Doug) Fuller of New York; grandchildren, Nicholas (Breanna) Bailey, Courtney Ashbrook, Jennifer (Kenny) McPherson, Zachary, Nathan and Cameron Fallon; great grandchildren, Alexa and Kenneth McPherson, and Briella Bailey; many family members; special relatives Rita and Kenny Walkley; many good friends and neighbors.
In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Western Reserve Masonic Home, 4931 Nettleton Rd, Medina, OH 44256.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday April 24, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm with a Masonic service at 6:45pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. On Thursday April 25, 2024 there will be a funeral service also at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home at 11am. Burial to take place at Rose Hill Cemetery at a later date.
