i very happily worked at rainbow blossom for several years with my boyfriend Tom, a long time employee and spiritual figure at the shop... We were still making bread, so the kitchen was winding down... sometime in the early 80s... An idyllic period For many of us... Rob and Pumpkin provided a place where we could feel at home and offer loving service... I will always be grateful to both of them... so much intentional healing communion took place under their wings... Rob was such an electric, yet laid-back figure, breezing in and out to confer with Sharon and Tom... and of course He made all of our shelves and many walls, which brought such a homey well-crafted feel to the space... such a lovely place to share healing stories with customers...
i remember his regular respite with his magazine... Emerging with good humor after long consideration ...
i gratefully recall the fun of his gifts to us, given with a twinkle... He was generous in his gratitude... such a bright light in those amazing blue eyes...enlivening his look of perpetual amazement...big grin...eyebrows climbing high above that lovely mustache... A beautiful man, and ever so charming... Well grounded in partnership with Pumpkin, in her feminine wisdom and her earthy, yet bubbly and elementally refined energy. i feel for her and all their descendants in this transition...may you have profound dreams with him and much comfort in his freedom...
now he is dissolving back into nature... i look forward to that myself!

The Auerbach family is so special to ours. Rainbow Blossom was so well planned from the start, and still so much loved! I remember with great fondness kind and fun Minx and Sy....It just seems like yesterday they were with us all.
Sending peace and love to you all in your sadness. We share it with you.
Love and hugs,
Kate Whaley Archer

Rob is a legend in the candy industry, and his enthusiasm and steady flow of "big ideas" will leave a void difficult to fill.
My deepest sympathies to his family and team. RIP my friend....
