Beloved husband of 26 years of Kathy (nee Bracken) Ayres. Dear father of Ashley Elisabeth (Terrell) Johnson, and Justin Michael Ayres. Grandfather of Trace Johnson. Brother of Michael Ayres, Heather Ayres, Andrea (Charlie Deets) Ayres, and Alayna Ayres. Rob is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren, close friends, and the LaPorte family.
Rob was preceded in death by his parents.
Rob grew up in Daren, IL and attended Hinsdale South High School class of 1989. He went on to attend Eastern Illinois University where he earned a degree in accounting. Rob worked for Nicor Gas since 1999.
Rob enjoyed all sports, especially soccer. Rob was heavily involved with Plainfield soccer and served as its president for many years. He was also a Commissioner on the Plainfield Park District board.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Plainfield Soccer Association would be appreciated.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 18, 2022, from 4PM to 8PM at Overman Jones Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 15219 South Joliet Road, Plainfield IL 60544, for more information please call 815-436-9221.
