Robert Wayne Azbill, 66, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Wayne was born in Berea, Ky on November 13, 1958, to Raymond Azbill and Loraine Smith. He is survived by his parents, loving wife of 47 years, Darlyne Wood Azbill; son, Kerry W. Azbill (Shelby Cardwell); grandchildren, Linkin Azbill and Piper Azbill; sister, Teresa Azbill Barton (Stewart Shunk); and his nieces and nephews, Bryan Purvis, Evan Rutledge, Christie Wood Edwards, Ella Gravitt, Mark Wood, Bridget Hammond, Joey Wood, and Tammi Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Azbill. Wayne served in the Kentucky National Guard and had a long career in Kentucky State Government. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Stewart Home & School, 4200 Lawrenceburg Rd, Frankfort, KY 40601. Arrangements are under the direction of LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. So sad to hear of your loss Chickie he will be missed. I remember he was always ready for a game of backgammon. Rather he won or lost he always had a positive and happy attitude and I know he loved you very much.
