Robert Paul Badore, 80, of Waitsfield, VT passed away on the afternoon of December 7, 2024.
Bob was born on March 8, 1944 at Fanny Allen Hospital in Colchester, VT. He was a child of Allan and Arlene (Goodrich) Badore and a sibling to Gerald, William, Richard, Nancy and Brenda. He grew up in Jonesville, VT and attended grade school in Richmond, VT.
He was known, even at a young age as a hard working and reliable person. Among his first jobs was his employment at Quinn's Country Store in Jonesville. During the time he was working there his Father bought a Dairy Farm in Moretown, VT. Bob remained in Jonesville however continuing to work at the store and going to school. Eventually he moved to Waitsfield, VT where he attended High School and lived with and worked for the Kenyons on their Dairy Farm. He remained fond of and close to his family, often visiting and helping out on his Father's farm.
In Waitsfield he met his beloved wife Rita whom he married only a few months after graduating High School. Early in their marriage he became employed at Maple Avenue Farm (Eurich's Farm) in Waitsfield, VT. In a home that was part of the farm, he and Rita raised their three children, Rob, Darlene and Bill. When Maple Avenue Farm was sold he worked in construction then eventually became employed at the Round Barn Inn, also in Waitsfield, VT
Bob dedicated his life to Jehovah God and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses during the middle of his life. He truly loved and appreciated serving Jehovah. He and Rita undeniably enjoyed spending time together in Theocratic activities. Whether meeting and greeting his friends at the Kingdom Hall or sharing his faith with others through his Ministry, it was easy to see that this was important to him and brought him immense joy.
At the time of his passing his family had come to include, besides his 3 children; Donna Badore (wife of son Rob), John Martin (husband of Darlene), Grandchildren; Billy, Lucy, Beau, Anna, Logan (Samantha) and Ian and Great Grandchildren; Eva, Exenya, and John Paul.
Part of the hope that brought Bob comfort and happiness can be found in these Bible verses: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." Acts 24:15 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Revelations 21:4
However people came to know Bob, as family, as a friend or as a workmate he was most commonly known as 'the most kind and gentle person you could ever know.'
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 298 VT Route 100, Moretown, VT 05660.
