Robert Harold Bailey, Jr., age 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. James Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at 2pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
Born in South Boston, VA, Mr. Bailey moved to Marietta, GA in 1972 from Alpharetta, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant (E5). He retired after 37 years as an Electronic Technician with the United States Post Office. Mr. Bailey was also a long time member of Milford Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Wife of 55 years, Sue Whitt Bailey; 4 Children, Rachel Bailey (Eric) Carmack, Powder Springs, GA, Robert Harold (Heather) Bailey III, Carrolton, GA, Jennifer Lynn Bailey (Contrell Thurman), Douglasville, GA, and Audrey Bailey (Donnie) Leeman, Burleson, TX; 8 Grandchildren, Ansley Thurman, Mason Thurman, Nicholas Carmack, Kevin Carmack, Haddie Bailey, Annabell Bailey, Avery Leeman, and Colin Leeman.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
