In a lifetime of love and devotion, Sarah Elizabeth Anne Thompson, 84, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Marietta, GA. Her life was a testament of enduring love as she and her husband, William A. Thompson, celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She inspired warmth and kindness as she touched many lives along her journey to eternity.
Her passions include showering love on all her fur-babies, southern cooking, and baking cakes for friends and family gatherings.
She is survived by her loving husband, William A. Thompson; her son Tony Thompson (Ruth Forst), preceded by her late son Timothy W. Thompson; grandchildren Kristin A. Casey (Timothy Casey); Kacy M. Thompson-Gray (Mark Gray); Steven C. Thompson; great-grandchildren Dylan and Kylie Casey, as well as several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell, Georgia. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Smyrna, Georgia.
Family will receive friends Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia, and Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell, Georgia.
