Robert A. Battillo

Robert Anthony Battillo, 75, a longtime area resident, passed away on February 21, 2024, at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck following a brief illness.
Born January 3, 1949, in Kingston, he was the son of the late Anthony and Lillian Margiotta Battillo.
He proudly served in the United States Navy Reserves and was called to active duty during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Battillo enjoyed both playing and watching sports, and traveling with his parents, especially to his father's World War II reunions.
Bob worked for the McDonald's Corporation as an Assistant Manager in various locations for 34 years before his retirement.
Survivors include his sister, Diana Heupler, and husband, Stephen, of Red Hook; two nieces, Melanie Lewis and Kristin Lemaster (Kelsey); nephew, Matthew Heupler (Sonja); and several great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 PM, Sunday, February 25th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
Funeral services and burial in Union Cemetery of Hyde Park will be private.
