Robert G. Beavers, 71, of War, West Virginia, went home to be with he Lord, Saturday, March 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Robert was born June 18, 1953, in War, WV, the son of Rose Ann Beavers, 100 years old, and the late Robert "Bobbie" Beavers of War, WV.
Robert was a man of many talents and a jack of all trades. Among them he was a coal miner for 25 years, an electrician for McDowell County BOE for 25 years and Mayor of the City of War, WV for 7 years.
Robert was a skilled musician who shared his lifelong love of music with his family and friends. He was an avid and keen horse rider and Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Roberts greatest joys in life were his love for God, his love for his family, and helping others. He will be truly missed by so many!
In addition to his father, Robert is preceded in death by his brother, Richard K. Beavers; nephew, Robert Lawerence Bledsoe; and many other beloved family members.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 47 years, Pamela "Pam" Beavers of the home; son, Eric Justin Beavers of War, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Candice and Raymond Duncan of Cabin Creek, WV; Two grandsons, Justin Andrew Beavers and wife Deana of Abs Valley, VA, and Gaven Cole Beavers and wife Paris of Thompson Valley, VA; Two granddaughters, Alia K. Short-Duncan and Layna S. Duncan of Cabin Creek, WV; four great grandchildren, Jaxn Beavers, Tam Robert Beavers, Amelia Beavers, and Owen Beavers; Sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Larry Bledsoe of Scarbro, WV; niece, Heather Beavers of Hickory, NC; and nephew, Derrik Beavers of Taylorsville, NC.
Robert and family have asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
As per Robert's wishes, his body will be cremated.
Fanning Funeral Home in War is assisting the family.
