Robert William Birker

Robert William Birker took his final breath on June 16, 2023, at the age of 69. Born on May 29, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan, he spent his life making others laugh and bringing joy to those around him. Bob passed away in Lapeer, Michigan, surrounded by loved ones and the sound of laughter.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Angie, who was the perfect comedic partner in life. Together, they raised two children, Cody (Lauren) Birker and Kayla (Noah Bindschatel) Birker, his children inherited their father's quick wit and love of laughter. Bob was also a proud grandfather to Landon, who is well on his way to becoming a third-generation jokester. Bob's sisters, Joyce Stewart and Deanna (Robert) York, will miss their brother's antics and the laughter he brought to family gatherings. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Virginia, and his siblings, Fred "Buddy", Richard, and Kelly.
Bob spent his working years at GM Truck and Bus, where he was known to make even the most mundane tasks entertaining. He retired in 2006 and dedicated his time to his passions, which included fishing, hunting, gardening, and working on antiques.
Wise, friendly, and generous, Bob was a true Renaissance man with a sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or share a funny story to brighten someone's day. It's safe to say that Bob left an indelible mark on everyone he met, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
In true fashion, Bob's life was full of joy, love, and adventure. His memory will live on in the stories shared by his family and friends, and his spirit will continue to bring laughter to those who knew him. So, as we say our final goodbyes to Robert William Birker, let's remember the laughter he brought into our lives and the love he shared with us all. And in his honor, let's keep telling his stories, because that's what Bob would have wanted.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Robert's Life will take place at later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
