Robert "Bob" C. Britschgi of Buckley, WA passed away on August 6th, 2022 in Puyallup, WA at the age of 86. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, John and Dora Britschgi; his beloved late wife, Helen J. Britschgi; brothers, John, Joey, & Al Britschgi; and sisters, Dorthy Kunz and Rose Koehler. Bob is survived by his wife Virginia "Ginger" Ann Britschgi; son & daughter-in-law, Doug and Teri Britschgi; daughter & son-in-law, Debbi and John Hartley; stepson & daughter-in-law, Brett and Barb Gagner; stepdaughter & son-in-law, Lori and Curtis Sellers; sister & brother-in-law, Theresa and Bill Connell; sisters, Barb Johnson & Marie Hague, as well as his 12 Grandkids, 22 Great Grandkids, and 2 Great Great Granddaughters. Born October 13th, 1935 in Buckley, WA, Bob was number 8 out of 9 children born to John and Dora Britschgi. Growing up, he enjoyed working on the family-owned farm. In 1953, Bob graduated from White River High School, and the following year, Bob married Helen. In 1955, Bob decided to leave the farm and went to work as a mechanic for Dwight Garrett. For 14 years, he put in his time and energy to ensure Garrett's equipment ran efficiently. In 1956, Bob & Helen welcomed their first child Debbi, and two years later in 1958, welcomed their son Doug. In 1973, Bob's passion for the Logging industry moved his family to Adna, WA where he worked for Cascade Loggers. After 4 years of living in Adna, Bob decided it was time to head back to his hometown of Buckley to work for his son Doug, at D & B Dozing running equipment. Bob finished his logging career hauling logs for Doug Britschgi, Inc. Throughout his life, Bob spent 24 years as a volunteer firefighter for the Buckley Fire Department until 1986. In 1998, Bob married his wife, Ginger. In 2010, Bob was named 'Bull Of The Woods" for the Buckley Log Show, a title he was very proud of. Additionally, Bob was a lifelong member of the Buckley and Wilkeson Eagles where he and Ginger enjoyed spending time. When he wasn't spending time surrounded by his loving family and friends, Bob loved playing games like Yahtzee & 31, or watching NASCAR & baseball. His wife Ginger says, "We lived a very beautiful and happy life together!"
A celebration of life for Bob will be set at a later date/time.
