Mr. Brooks was born on December 4, 1945 in Paris, Texas a son of David E. and Fannie Bell Morris Brooks. He married Donna Black on November 22, 1975 in Maud, Texas. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and he received a masters of education. He taught in the Paris Independent School district for 18 years and was a substitute for 8 yrs. at Chisum ISD.
He is survived by his spouse, Donna Brooks; children, Justin Brooks and Jessica Brooks Lamberth and spouse, Thomas Lamberth and grandchildren, Jacob Lamberth, Margaret Lamberth and Polly Lamberth.
If desired in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Chisum ISD Libraries.
