Robert Burks Obituary
Robert Burks was born November 28,1949 in McNairy County to the late Willis and Beatrice Marlar Burks.
On July 23, 1982, he was united in marriage to Martha Moore, who survives.
Robert was traffic manager at Aqua Glass in Adamsville, Tennessee for 13 years. He lost his job but found his soul mate in 1981. Afterwards, he raised quarter horses, farmed a little and cut hay for the public, which he loved. His health forced him to give up that passion but he was always ready to climb back in the tractor when Doc called needing some help. If you were lucky enough to be his friend, then you know how loyal he was. He enjoyed watching NHRA drag racing, Grizzlies basketball and loved Blue Bell ice cream right before bed.
Robert Burks departed this life on January 14, 2024 in Tupleo, Mississippi at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Burks of Shiloh, Tennessee; son, Jeremy Burks (Tammy) of Crump, Tennessee; daughter, Jennifer Burks (Casey) of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Betty Johnson of Adamsville, Tennessee; and 5 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Burks was preceded in death by 5 brothers.
