Robert Lloyd Capen

Robert L. Capen ("Rob"), age 56, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2025.
Born in Biloxi, Mississippi, Rob was the only son of Toni Capen and the late Bob Capen, growing up alongside his four sisters. Though the lone boy in the family, he embraced the role with humor and warmth, creating countless cherished memories playing with his sisters - memories they will hold close forever.
Rob is survived by his mother, Toni; his sisters Cindy Lind (married to Mike Lind), Diana West, Brenda Capen, and Wendy Prinz (married to Marc Prinz); and his beloved nieces and nephews Porsche, Michael, Amy, James, Randal, Andrew, Bryana, and Britany. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Capen.
Rob built a career in sales, where his natural gift for connecting with people shone brightly. He had an extraordinary ability to build rapport with everyone he met, leaving lasting impressions through his kindness, humor, and genuine interest in others. Beyond his work, Rob's passions reflected his curious and caring spirit. He loved animals-especially cats-and had a lifelong enthusiasm for sports and sports statistics. He was deeply interested in investing, finance, and business, and was a continuous learner who delighted in expanding his knowledge.
Rob's life was enriched by the enduring friendships he maintained since childhood. He was the heart of his family's sibling group chat, sharing daily funny videos and favorite songs that brought joy and connection to everyone. His humor, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St Mary's Catholic Church, Odessa, Tx, in the daily chapel family and friends are asked to enter through the Parish Office. The memorial service will also be streamed on YouTube. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Rob's life.
