ROBERT OWEN "BOB" CHRONISTER, age 87, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home.

He was born on February 27, 1938 in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late Richard Dixon Chronister and Margaret Bessie (Royce) Tuttle. Bob proudly served his county in the United States Air Force. He worked as a repairman for Verizon until his retirement. He enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins, Dale Earnhardt, bowling, playing pool, traveling, and spending time with his grandson.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth A, "Liz" Chronister, whom he married on February 22, 1958; and sisters, Virginia Rhodes, Mabel "Betty" Herring, Patricia "Patty" Muck, and Dorthy Durand.

Survivors include his son, Robert R.F. Chronister, and his grandson, Christopher Ryan Chronister. Also surviving are a host of special friends.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Dayton National Cemetery.
