Bob passed away peacefully at Serenity House when God and the angels wrapped their loving arms around him to end his pain and suffering on November 8, 2025 at the age of 85. Bob had a fall which resulted in fractures and breaks on his back October 22nd and spent two weeks at UT in Knoxville, TN.
Born on May 22, 1940 in St Louis, MO his journey was of lasting memories, good times, living each day as it was the last in younger years with friends and family. He loved his children and was grateful that they all came to see him, as well as grandchildren to reminisce through their years together.
Outside of his last career as a mason/bricklayer, Bob had a passion and dedication to his own beagles and as a handler at field trials all through numerous states. He finished 38 of their own for a total of 336 for his devoted customers. In 2021 he was recognized for his dedication and expertise to beagling and was inducted into the Brace Hall of Fame. In addition to all of this, he was also an avid and dedicated fan for the St Louis Cardinals through and through.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Jeannette Knapp Coil; and brothers, Steven and Ward Coil. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Lynette Coil, his loving and caring children; Charmagne Higgins, Charleyne Coil, Charlotte Eiseman and Chantelle (Philip) Neal; Brother and Sister-in-law, Richard and Denise Voelker; 12 grandchildren; Ashlyn, Alex, Jacob, Isaac, Zach, Veronika, Peyton, Taryn, Hailey, Adalyn, Quinn and Max; and 7 great grandchildren; Elias, Elise, Emmtte, Evan, Hadley, Olli and Beau.
If he could---Heaven's Walk
It's time for me to take the steps that lead
to Heaven's Gate.
And with each step I'll think of you and
all the times we've spent.
I am going now to Paradise
where's there's only love and no pain.
And I will wait until the time...
we see each other again.
