It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Mr. Robert Daniel "Danny" Compton, 72, of West Monroe, LA. Danny was born om June 18, 1952, in Monroe, LA and died April 29, 2025, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Funeral services celebrating Danny’s life will be 10:00 AM Saturday May 3, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Dub Hatten officiating.
Entombment will be in Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Mausoleum in West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Friday, May 2, 2025 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Danny was a graduate of West Monroe High School in 1970 and received his B. S. degree from the University of Louisiana in 1974. He was the owner of Ark-La-Tex Windows and Doors in West Monroe, LA. He loved spending time in the outdoors with family hunting and fishing. “Pappaw” as his grandchildren called him, will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose Pearson and Florence Jean Compton; and siblings, Jerry Ray Compton and Betty Compton Aston.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Rhonda Albritton Compton; sons, Robby Compton and his wife, Leslie and Brent Compton and his wife, Lissy; grandchildren, Makenzie Rae Cranford and husband, Luke, Katie Elizabeth Compton, Pearson Jeep Compton, Phoebe Jane Compton, and Leighton June Compton; great granddaughter, Maria Joy Cranford; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gary Compton, Neil Albritton, Luke Cranford, Kenny Compton, Ken Compton, Don Antley, Rob Antley, and Robert Alton Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Nolan, John “Nubbin” Harrell, Mickey Easterling, Jimmy Mitchell, David Reeves, Pat Riggin, and Johnny Pace.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
