Robert E. Daniels Jr.
December 12, 1942 – April 29, 2025
Robert "Bob" E. Daniels Jr., 82, of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025. Born on December 12, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ, Robert lived a life defined by deep devotion to his family, lifelong friendships, and a tireless passion for craftsmanship, music, and a love for animals.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Carol S. Daniels, his mother Lillian Cottrell, and his father Robert E. Daniels Sr. Robert leaves behind a family who loved him dearly: his good friend and loving companion Peg Frank; his daughter Dawn Daniels; his son Robert Daniels; his granddaughter Amanda E. Robbins; his grandsons Erik T. Robbins and Christopher T. Daniels.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a pillar of his community as a dedicated builder, having constructed more than 200 homes throughout the years - shaping not just structures, but neighborhoods and lives. His commitment to quality and care left a lasting mark on all who knew his work.
Beyond his career, Bob's passions enriched his life and those around him. He was an accomplished musician and a member of the band The Fortunes, where his love of music resonated with many. As an awarded pianist, he found joy in sharing melodies, and as a proud 300 bowler, he celebrated life's perfect games with enthusiasm and grace. He also had a deep love of boating, spending countless joyful hours on the water, embracing both its calm and adventure.
Bob was a loving husband, partner, father, and grandfather. His warmth, kindness, and humor will be missed greatly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the community he helped build.
A private celebration of Bob's life will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a local veteran charity or animal shelter.
