Robert J. Dasch, Sr., aged 85, passed away at home on July 12, 2024. Born in Rochester, New York, Robert graduated from Aquinas Institute before attending Niagara University. His career was marked by service in various capacities. In Rochester, Bob worked as a manager for the Gates Chili Central Schools' Transportation Department and later drove Bus for Empire Trailways. After moving to Florida, he continued his career in transportation with Martz Bus Trailways, where he rose to the position of Safety Director.
A devout Catholic, Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park, where he actively participated in the community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his daily actions and commitments. In addition to his career and religious activities, Robert was an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree Knight), contributing to various charitable activities and community service initiatives. He was an avid sports lover. While living in Florida, he became a Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning fan and could often be found watching their games while openly critiquing their performance.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Dasch; his son, David (Daryl) Dasch; his daughter, Laurie (Jon) DelVecchio, daughter-in-law, Marianne Dasch; Stephanie's son David (Sara) Eisenbart; sisters, Dorothy (Bernard) Fischer and Mary Ann Springer; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Ann Dasch, and his sons, Kevin Dasch and Robert J. Dasch, Jr.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 7809 46th Way North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781.

My Uncle Bob was the sweetest person to me! I still can here his voice when I talked to him about a month before he passed when he was in the hospital I believe and I can distinctly remember his "Hi Sara" voice and he was such an amazing uncle! He made sure he came to my wedding in February 2010 in Las Vegas and that always meant so much to me! Growing up his niece was a great gift! I used to love just chatting with him and laughing how he always has to watch his baseball haha! Love you Uncle Bob! It was a blessing to grow up with you around and visiting and the few time I made it down to Florida, I especially remember the summer just before I turned 16 and I was in Florida, it was the best time!

I met Bob when he had a garage sale in 2002. I loved his smile and sense of humor from the moment I walked up the driveway. He introduced me to his friend Greg that was living with him at the time.
I enjoyed many amazing Italian dinners at his home. Fast forward Greg and I married in 2016 and we thank Bob for that. We´ve had some great times with him and Stephanie. My heart breaks for her and the family. He will be greatly missed. He was a genuine loving kind man. Love you Bob.

Bob and I worked together at Martz bus, when I moved to St Pete Bob took me and my two young children in to live with him. Bob had a great smile and a kind giving heart. It is Bob who introduced me and my beautiful bride Georgina. Bob you are truly loved and will be missed.
