Robert Decker Obituary
Robert was born in New Haven on September 21, 1978 and was the son of Robert E. Decker Jr. and the late Christina Malerba Decker. In addition to his father Robert, he is survived by his grandmother Marjorie Decker, sister Rachel Decker (Stephen Godfrey), and brothers, Joseph Decker (Jessica), and Rocco Decker. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert grew up in Wallingford and graduated from Sheehan High School. After graduation he worked as a carman for Metro North Railroad and later as a welder in the construction field. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends joking around and making people laugh. He was always the first person to lend a helping hand when needed. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed working on landscaping projects and hanging out by his pool. He also had a passion for auto racing, building and working on Volkswagen cars, and attending car shows. Robert especially loved spending time with his niece and nephews, and truly loved them all unconditionally.
The visiting hours will be on Tuesday, January 10, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 4 to 7 PM. A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday morning January 11 at 10:30. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

It's with my deepest sympathy and sorrow ,I send heartfelt condolences to Bobby's FAMILY & friends. The world lost a great person way to soon! I have had the privilege , for over 20 yrs., to call Bobby "my friend". He was caring, loyal, loving, funny, full of information and willing to do whatever he could for anyone if needed. He will be missed dearly; but never forgotten. We will cherish fond memories and find comfort knowing he is now at peace. Fly high with the angels now, Bob. RIP

I'm so sorry to hear this news. This is Cathy I dated him for a while tried to call him not to long ago but his phone was off. His dad knows me from the race track. I live in NJ . I always sent them cookies. If someone can call me at 973 349 8601. I would like to know what happen. God bless him. He was a sweet sweet person. I will miss him
