Robert Leo "Bob" Denning

Robert "Bob" Leo Denning, 87, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his residence.
Bob was born on March 9, 1935 in Wheeling, son of the late John L. & Loretta (Stenger) Denning.
He was a retired Warehouse Manager for McElroy Mine, member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, member of St. John's Central Catholic High School Alumni Association; member of the Our Lady of Peace Knights of Columbus Council 12195, avid sports enthusiast, very hard worker and a US Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Denning and his wife, Lorraine and a sister-in-law, Patricia Denning.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Irene H. (Martini) Denning of Wheeling; four children, Christine Denning of Stafford, VA, John (Pam) Denning of Oakland, MD, Michael (Kimberly) Denning of Mt. Olivet, WV and Karen (Steve) Domyan of Elm Grove, WV;
three brothers, Thomas Denning of Crestview, KY, Richard (Judy) Denning of Jacksonville, FL and William (Tresa) Denning of Littleton, CO; several grandchildren, Matthew Custer and Allison of Reynoldsburgh, OH, Laura Denning of Miami, FL, Kolleen Denning of Reston, VA and Megan Denning of Wheeling; great granddaughter, Francesca Custer and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 2-5pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10am at Our :Lady of Peace Catholic Church with father Joseph Augustine serving as Celebrant.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery
