Robert J. DeRisi Sr.

Robert J. DeRisi, Sr., of Levittown, PA, died peacefully, Monday, January 8, 2024, at the St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 86 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he attended Lincoln High School before moving to Morrisville, PA as a teenager, and was a 1955 graduate of Pennsbury High School.
Robert proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force and spent most of his working career in the automobile industry, first as a mechanic, and later as a service manager, where he spent many years with Patterson Chevrolet in Hamilton, NJ.
An accomplished power lifter, and always health conscious, he began working as a personal trainer, after retirement at the Fairless Hills, PA branch of the YMCA for 15 years, until he retired in 2020.
Son of the late Angelo and Dolores Leggieri DeRisi, He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Phyllis (Gattis); two children, Kimberly Katona (Lew), and Robert J., Jr. (Jillian), and was the devoted Pop of four grandchildren; Christopher Katona, Ryan Katona (Jenna), Luca DeRisi and Amelia DeRisi, and one great grandson, Trey Katona.
He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at St. Andrew's R.C. Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 10:00 to 11:30 AM Thursday at the church. Interment, and military honors will follow at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
