Robert L. "Bobby" Dodge

Robert (Bobby) Lewis Dodge, age 66, was taken too soon from us on February 15, 2026.

Son to June A. Parish and Lewis C. Dodge, he was born on August 24, 1959. He attended Smith Vocational Aggie Mechanics Program and was a member of the ROTC.

Bobby was known in the vintage snowmobile world as "Mr. Vintage." His passion and knowledge would awe you.

He was inducted in the Snowmobile Hall of Fame as the first legend inductee in St. Germaine, WI on February 7, 2015. Bobby recently became a board member of New Hampshire Snowmobile Museum.

His proudest moments came from writing five cover stories for The Vintage Snowmobile Collectors of America Magazine, including a story about being personally involved in finding a very rare racing snowmobile that was believed lost to time and legend.

Bobby was a cross-country truck driver. He worked for numerous companies before finding his home with Sons Trucking of Springfield, MA, later becoming A & R Transport. Bobby retired in 2004 to be at home.

His favorite trips were to the Midwest and taking summer trips to Cape Cod.

He was an active and proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Dalton Post 155.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Florence Dodge (Kimber) of Windsor, and two sons, Michael Beaupre (Charlie Beaupre) of Springfield and PJ Kilfeather (Tony Percuoco) of Southborough, MA. And their beloved Fur Girl, Gracie. He also leaves his siblings, Sue Morrison (David) of Peru, MA, Norman Dodge (Florence), of Peru, MA, Jennifer Newell (Andy) of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by brothers, James T. Dodge and Stephen W. Dodge. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Bobby's passing will leave an enormous void in many hearts.

SERVICES: Visitation at the Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield, MA will be Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 2-4PM followed by a Memorial Service beginning at 4PM. A reception for friends and family will be held at the Dalton American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bobby's memory may be made payable to either "Berkshire Humane Society" or "N.H. Vintage Snowmobile Museum" in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201
