Robert Duke Obituary
Robert Ernest Duke, 101, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at AVIVA Baldwin Park in Staunton.
He was born on May 01, 1924, in Louisa County to the late John Andrew, II and Vivian Hawthorne Trice Duke.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Gail Thigpen Duke; his children, Robert Ernest Duke, Jr., James Hardin Duke, Michael Cotter, Jean Manning Duke Courtney, Carol Lynn Duke Peterson, and Cathleen Nowland; his sisters, Peggy Sue Duke Harris and Ann Elizabeth Duke Swinson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Martha Jean Woodward Duke; his brothers, John Andrew, III, Goodman Burnett, Sr., and Lunsford Lancelot Duke.
Henry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
