Robert Edmundson

Robert (Bob) Edward Edmundson, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Morris Serinity Estates, surrounded by family on October 31, 2025, at the age of 96.
Born on March 31, 1929, in Beloit, WI, Bob was the son (and only child) of the late Otis and Dorothy (Craddock) Edmundson. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Virginia (Brewster).
Bob's legacy continues through his loving children: Rob (Cathy) Edmundson, Barb Palmer, Bill Edmundson and step-daughter Amy (Brad) Ziegler. He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Francis (Lewis) Love, step-daughter Tina (Todd) McCoy, and one grandchild.
Bob was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and adored his numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought a unique joy into his life.
A veteran from the Navy, Bob retired from his 38 year career with Commonwealth Edison in 1988. He found great satisfaction in hunting, fishing, boating and camping throughout his retirement years. He was a member of the following clubs: Grundy County Rod & Gun, American Legion, F.O.E., and Moose Lodge.
Visitation will be held on November 10 at 11:00AM, immediately followed by Services at the First Baptist Church in Morris, IL.
