Rhodes, Michigan
Robert W. Engerer, age 93, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 with his family by his side. He was born to the late Tobias & Clara (Knollinger) Engerer in Freeland, Michigan.
Bob was a proud Army Veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He retired from Bay Cast Foundry.
Bob enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Bob married Elberta Ruse on July 14, 1973, celebrating 51 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, stepchildren; Charlene Stuhr, Rodney (Lori) Ruse, step grandchildren; Lisa (Tim) Dixon, Keith Stuhr, Heidi (Scott Meyers) Nicholas Ruse, Olivia Ruse, Alexander Ruse, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Dorothy Neumeyer, and Cousin Norma Holbrook.
Preceded in death by his twin sister Shirley Ribble, brother Duane Engerer, and sister Rosemary Engerer.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11:00 am at Faith Lutheran Church 3033 Wilder Rd Bay City, Michigan with Pastor Jim Chinery presiding, with burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. And on Monday from 10:00 am at the church until time of service.
