Robert E. "Bob" Enos

Robert J. Enos passed away on September 1, 2022. He was born in Vallejo, CA to Bedford and Dora Enos on August 28, 1945. He graduated from Benicia High School where he played baseball, football, and basketball. He married his highschool sweetheart, Phyllis Cunningham, and they raised their two children, Bobby and Stephanie, here in Benicia. During the Vietnam War, Bob served in the Navy on the USS Galveston. After his discharge from the service, he worked at Mare Island Shop 56 in Ocean Engineering for 20 years. He played for the Benicia Black Socks, the Benicia Old Timers, and continued his love of sports by coaching baseball for Benicia High School. Bob was also passionate about fishing. During salmon season, he could be found down at the pier fishing on his favorite rock. Many friends were made on the rocks waiting to reel in the big fish of the day.
Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Enos, his children, Bobby (Shanette) Enos, and Stephanie Tafoya, his brothers, Larry (Barbara) Enos, and Tom (Sandy) Enos, his grandchildren, Phillip (Stacia) Tafoya, Robert Enos, Natasha Enos, Katrina (Anthony) Garrison, Joshua Bell, Justin Bell, nephews and nieces, Ryan Enos, Mercades (Derek) Jameson, Rebecca (Glenn) Light, Rachel (Robert) Thomas, Joshua (Allison) Rice and Jeremiah (Stephanie) Rice, and many other friends and family.
The family would like to thank Roberto, Kasey, Josh, Julie, Casey, Cheryl, the Palencia family, and Sue for their help during this difficult time.
Services will be private and burial will be in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
