So sorry to hear that he passed away. I met him at the College of the Ozarks. He was a dear friend. My deepest condolences to his family.

I have often remembered and related memories of Max; basketball at Holcomb High, the summer of `62 that we spent building fence to corral and treat cows on the School of the Ozarks farms in Hartville and Republic, driving the military jeep with no top pulling a trailer with our mattresses and tools, out of the way to drive on our first interstate, the brand new 4 lane Hwy 44! He was a gentleman, a hard worker, and dear friend.
