Robert "Bob" Lee Everly Sr., 82, of Kingwood, WV, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Kingwood Healthcare Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Morgantown, WV, on November 10, 1942, a son of the late Clarence and Elsie Everly.
Bob worked for several years at Streets Store in Masontown, WV. After leaving Streets Store, he went to work for the City of Kingwood. Bob retired from the City of Kingwood at the age of 62. He was an avid sports fanatic and loved watching football and basketball with his grandsons, Trent and Jordan. Bob also loved to sing karaoke and had a beautiful voice. Anyone who knew Bob knew he was a go getter and never knew a stranger. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Everly; their loving children, Greg Deal and wife, Michelle of Kingwood, Richard Everly of Broadway, VA, Robert Everly of Farmington, WV, and Joey Everly and partner, Justin Lemley of Morgantown, WV; grandchildren, Jordan Halbritter and wife Alyssa, Trenton Deal and fiancé, Allie, Morgan, Sarah, Laura and Emily Everly; great granddaughter, Gracelyn; brother, Bill Everly of Kingwood; a very special sister-in-law, Sherry Peach Thedford of Kingwood; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Bob was met at the gates of Heaven by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; two brothers, Ted Everly and Junior Everly; sister and brother-in-law, Edith Boyles and Kenny; and several other family members and dear friends.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 2 to 8 pm and Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 10 am until the 11 am time of service with Pastor Sam Moon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made directly to the Field Funeral Home, 10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26764, to help the family with funeral expenses.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Bob and his family during this time.
