Robert G. Fenninger

We sadly announce the passing of Robert G. Fenninger, who peacefully passed away on July 24, 2023, at the VA Castle Point in Wappingers Falls, NY. Bob was born on May 27, 1926, in the Bronx, NY. He was kind, passionate, skilled and touched many lives.
Bob was a proud Veteran who served his country with honor and distinction during World War II. After his service, he pursued a career in plumbing, where he excelled and managed his own business, Fenninger & Son Plumbing and Heating. He was well-known and respected in the community and served as a member of the Putnam County Plumbing Board, where he shared his expertise and wisdom.
For many years, Bob also inspired the next generation of plumbers teaching at BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Educational Services), where he generously shared his knowledge, experience and passion. He was a dedicated professional and was also admired as an encouraging and supportive educator.
Personally, Bob enjoyed nature, traveling, animals, country music and most of all, loved spending time with his family, who adored him. He is survived by his loving wife, daughters, stepchildren and grandchildren who will remember his warm nature, wonderful sense of humor, talent and commitment to family and community. Bob's legacy will continue through the countless lives he touched, both personally and professionally.
All are welcome to attend a visitation on Sunday, July 30th from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home in Mahopac, NY. A prayer service will begin at
3:30 PM during the visitation. Bob will be laid to rest in Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
