Dr. Robert W. Ferguson, born on September 28, 1966, to Robert V and Ruth Ann Becht Ferguson and passed away on February 12, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was 59 years old.
Rob graduated from West Washington High School in Campbellsburg, Indiana, in 1985. He pursued his passion for healing and wellness by attending Purdue University, then earning a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan Chiropractic College, St. Louis in 1991. He later completed a fellowship in acupuncture through the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
In 1992, Rob opened his own practice, Chiropractic Rehabilitation & Acupuncture in Indianapolis. For nearly 35 years he was dedicated to caring for his patients, spending the extra time needed to truly listen to his patients and to make sure they had the best possible care. He will be remembered not only for his knowledge and skill, but his caring and accessibility.
In his personal time, he loved being “Dad” to his sons Robbie and Anthony. He would often be heard sharing their adventures and achievements, beaming with pride. (And occasionally, their groans, when Rob told his latest “Dad Joke”.)
Rob enjoyed traveling with his sons and friends around the country, including recent trips to Florida, Alaska and the Grand Canyon. When home, he would relax with his dogs, Aspen and Theo.
Besides his sons, Rob is survived by his siblings Rhonda (Max) Greene, Melissa Benningfield, Ronald (Laura) Ferguson and Becky (Andrew) Daigle, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his stepmother, Paula Neimeyer Ferguson.
A Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28, from 12pm to 2pm, with a Service to follow at 2pm, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 E. Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN 46032. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 2, at 2pm, at Claysville Cemetery, 10866 W Lost River Rd, Campbellsburg, IN 47108.
