Flanner Buchanan Carmel Funeral and Cremation ServicesJacqueline Kaye (Jaci) Sutton of Carmel, IN, passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 78 to eternally be with her loving husband Rick. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on May 14, 1947, to Paul Harold and Marjorie Alice (Borgman) Weaver.
Jaci grew up in Indianapolis and Carmel. She began high school at Carmel High School in 1962, moving to New Hampshire in 1963. She graduated from Kennett High School in Conway, New Hampshire in June 1965.
After graduating from high school, she moved back to Carmel and began working at Indiana Bell in Indianapolis and had a nearly 30-year career with Indiana Bell/Ameritech.
Jaci married Richard (Rick) Sutton on May 11, 1968, in Indianapolis, IN. Together they spent 20 loving years together before Rick passed away in May of 1988.
Jaci was a huge sports fan. IndyCar and NASCAR racing, including many Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 races. She and Rick took many Indy 500 photographs, including many with their favorite drivers. They also had quite the collection of racing memorabilia. She was a season ticket holder with the Indianapolis Racers and Indianapolis Ice hockey teams, as well as the Indianapolis Colts. She liked to volunteer at Indianapolis sporting events such as the Pan Am Games and the NCAA Final Four.
She is survived by brothers Robert Paul Weaver and David Michael (Barbara) Weaver; nephews Robert Allan (Lisa) Weaver, Roger Alan Weaver, Randy Allen (Jennifer) Weaver, Tim (Gina) Weaver, Jeff (Melissa) Weaver; great-nephews Austin Allan (Taylor) Weaver, Jacob Paul (Madison) Weaver, Gage Weaver, and Xander Weaver; and great-great nephews Ethan Allan Wilson Weaver and Braxton Alan Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Harold and Marjorie Alice (Borgman) Weaver; husband Richard Alan Sutton, and sister-in-law Trudy Anne (Porter) Weaver.
A memorial gathering will be held from 1pm – 3pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel (325 E. Carmel Dr. Carmel, IN 46032).
