Robert Louis Fite

Robert Louis Fite Sr.(Bob), age 70, of Ankeny and formerly of Oskaloosa, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at The Bridges care facility in Ankeny under hospice care. Robert was born on March 6, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Fred and Rosella (Wagner) Fite. He attended Prairie High School until 11th grade and later received his G.E.D. In 1974, he was united in marriage to Lana Ford at the Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They divorced years later.
Robert was self employed most of his working life and worked until he was no longer able. He enjoyed race cars, Harley Davidson motorcycles and attending motorcycle Rallies.
He is survived by his children, Robert Fite Jr., Rachel Roldan (Oswaldo Lopez) and Jessica Rivera; his grandchildren, Tyler Neuhaus, Alyssa Neuhaus, Taeviss Fite, Brizzia Rivera, Angel Rivera, Ciara Eggerts, Kaytlin Fite, Michael Fite, Arek Fite, Maggie Martin, Briana Garcia-Fite, Lily Garcia-Fite and Taiquan Cooper; 9 great grandchildren; a brother, Lee (Kim) Fite and a sister, Beatrice Mango.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bud Fite and great grandchild Marcus
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Bates Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jon Nelson officiating. Burial will be at the Springfield Cemetery near Delta, Iowa following the services. Visitation with family will be from 10:00-11:00 before the service. Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
