Robert J. Franecki,
Robert Joseph Franecki, 78, was born to eternal life on November 24, 2023, after fighting a long, courageous battle with ALS. Bob (Rob) was born on August 26, 1945. He is preceded in death by parents Anthony and Mary Franecki, and brothers James Franecki and Thomas Franecki. He is survived by sisters Susan Dayton (Gregory), Mary Franecki (Ron Henry), Kathleen Hartley, (Glenn). He is also survived by sister-in-law Colleen Franecki, spouse of Thomas. Further survived by nieces, nephews, uncles and his lifelong closest friend Penelope Waggoner.
Following his army service during the Vietnam War, Bob graduated from the UWM School of Engineering and worked at Johnson Controls as an engineer for 42 years.
Bob supported the arts, volunteered for the Irish Cultural and Heritage Center, Irish Fest, and the Irish Fest Summer School. He was a member of Historic Milwaukee and supported local museums and events. He was also a strong supporter of Boerner Gardens and Mitchell Park Domes.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the caring and dedicated staff at the Zablocki VA Hospital.

Memorial Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at ST. VERONICA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 4001 S. Whitnall Ave., Milwaukee from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM.
