Robert's journey began in the historic city of Vineland where he spent his childhood and later ventured into a life of service as a dedicated employee at the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland, New Jersey. At home, Robert's heart was devoted to his loving companion of 36 years, Nancy Vivirito of Minotola, New Jersey. Together, they shared a life filled with laughter, love, and mutual respect. His legacy is carried on by his beloved children, daughter, Adrienne and her husband Roman Gelsi of Vineland; daughter, Lisa Giacalone; along with his grandson's Eugene and Anthony Lewis; his son, Robert Giacalone Jr., also of Vineland, will forever cherish the memories and lessons passed down by his father. And last but not least, his cat, Luna, who he loved.
His personal interests, which included the thrill of horse races, the excitement of casino outings, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family, reflected his zest for life and the pleasure he found in every moment. Robert's sense of humor was contagious, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. He was a loving presence in the lives of his family and friends, always ready to offer support or a kind word. His wisdom, drawn from a well-lived life, was a source of guidance for many. As we bid farewell to Robert Louis Giacalone Sr., we reflect on a life well-lived, a life filled with love, joy, and the laughter he so freely shared. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us all. Though he has left this earthly realm, the light he brought into the world will never dim.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 10:00am until 11:00am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am at DeMarco – Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave. Vineland. Burial will immediately follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery 741 E. Walnut Rd. Vineland, NJ.
