Robert Gini Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schetter Funeral Home on Oct. 1, 2025.
Robert Anthony Gini, Sr. of Winslow, Twp, NJ died September 20, 2025. Age 88. Beloved husband of Barbara L. (nee Ivens). Loving father of Barbara E. Gini and Robert Anthony Gini, Jr. Devoted grandfather of Michael, Stephen and Lauren. Dear brother of Sr. M. Philomena Gini, R.S.M. and Joyce Monsees (Wayne). Dear uncle of Scott Monsees.
Bob graduated from Camden Catholic High School in 1955. He attended Villanova University and Ryder College.
In 1957 he joined the US Navy and served aboard the USS Forrestal out of Norfolk, Virginia.
He was employed by RCA Corp., GE Corp., Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and retired from L3 Corp in Camden, NJ. Working for 5 companies staying in the same office at the same desk. This is how loved he was by each new employer, retaining him through each new company that took over. He was a hardworking & dedicated employee.
He belonged to the RCA bowling team and teams through all the subsequent companies that employed him as well as an avid golfer in the day and continued watching golf tournaments (as well as horse racing) up until his passing. He loved the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Eagles, horse racing and fishing. Was quite passionate about Sherlock Holmes - whether through novels, movies, or television.
He loved trips to Ocean City NJ and having meals at the Crab Trap in Somers Point with his wife, family and friends. He loved his trips to the Florida Gulf area for vacations, lunches with his lunch pals, and spending time with his family, especially at Christmas (he was truly Santa Claus) and every holiday. One of the hardest working, dedicated, loving family men you could ever know. We love you and will miss you but you will live on in our hearts forever!
