Robert John Glenn, 83, of Cedar View Apartments, Allentown died Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John H. and Dorothy (Achey) Glenn. After attending Liberty High School, Robert received his GED while serving his country for 20 years in the Army, Navy and Air Force. He was last stationed at Whiteman Air Force. He served two terms in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged, he spent 20 years as a prison guard at Graterford State Correctional Institution before retiring. While serving his country, he had the opportunity to travel all over the world. A 32nd Degree Mason he was a member of Lehigh Lodge #326, Macungie and Lehigh Consistory Valley of Allentown. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved dog Gizzy and was known to be a good cook.
Survivors: Son, Scott Glenn and his spouse Steven J. Moore of Northampton; former wife and Beverly (Bachman) Glenn. He was predeceased by his beloved Gizzy.
Service: Memorial Service 2:00PM Monday, November 11, 2024 at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Family and friends may call from 1 to 2:00PM Monday, November 11, 2024 at the funeral home. Please record a memory at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.

Bob, you have made your final flight into the wild blue yonder´s. You are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow Vietnam Veteran and mason. We all are grateful for your stepping up to the plate when your country needed you the most. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. Have a smooth flight.
