Robert Eric Gordon

ROBERT ERIC GORDON, age 70, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2023, with his loving wife by his side and holding his hand. Devoted husband to Margaret "Margie" (nee McHugh). Beloved brother-in-law to Rosemary McHugh, Kathy Swanson (Glen), Betty Nestel (Tom), Tom McHugh (Nancy) and Dan McHugh (the late Edie). Dearest Uncle and Great-Uncle to many, especially Piper, PJ and Gabe Cedeno.
Survived by his children Jenny Gibbs and Robbie Gordon and their mother, Ellen. Grandad to Samantha Nagam, Jolina Gordon, and Ellie Gordon. Great-Grandad to Annie Nagam and the late Amelia Nagam and Theo Nagam. Robert was the oldest of nine children, and especially close to Andy Gordon (Tracy) and Fred Gordon (Debbie) and their families.
Although born and raised in Portsmouth, England, Bob was a Scotsman through and through. His love for and pride in his Scottish heritage were immediately evident in his speech and mannerisms, as well as his clan Gordon kilt and plaid. Bob was fascinated by trains from when he was a child, so his choice of career in helping to launch rail systems was particularly apt. He loved to travel and had a special affinity for Southeast Asia. Together, he and Margie built a life of love, joy and partnership. He reveled in revisiting his favorite places with her. Their home is filled with happy memories and treasured mementos. Bob is dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, December 18, 2023, from 10:30AM to 11:30AM at Louis A. DiGiacomo, Inc., Funeral Home, 1055 Southampton Road Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by services 11:30AM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
