Robert Goulding, 76, of Morton, IL, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by cherished memories.
Born on December 28, 1948, in Canton, IL, Robert was the beloved son of Fredrick and Lulu Gibbs Goulding. He found his soulmate, Barbara, and they joyfully exchanged vows on August 10, 1968, in the picturesque setting of West Point, NY. Barbara passed away on January 16, 2019. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Sally White, and one brother, Bill Goulding.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his three children: Stephan Goulding of Machesney Park, IL; Stephanie Fullerton of Vacaville, CA; and Allen Goulding of Kewanee, IL, along with seven adoring grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by one brother, DJ Goulding.
Robert honorably served in the US Army and was proud to have served his country in Vietnam.
For 42 years, he worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company before enjoying a well-earned retirement in 2011. He had a passion for life that shone through his love of fishing, cooking, bowling, gardening, and hunting. He particularly cherished the annual fishing trips to the serene waters of Kentucky Lake with his friends, all while being a member of the Tremont Sportsman Club.
Robert was an exceptional cook, renowned for his delightful fish fries and cherry pies, which brought friends and family together in joyous gatherings.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no formal services are planned. Affordable Funeral & Cremation Services, Peoria has been entrusted with arrangement. To share a heartfelt memory or extend condolences, please visit www.peoriafuneral.com.

Bob was a true friend. We knew each other for almost 40 years. Bob and I always had projects to complete, building a dock, bricking patios or working on our homes, we did them all together. Through that time, you really get to know a person. I was so fortunate to call Bob my best friend. He endured a lot in his lifetime, but always came out smiling. He will be missed by many and I will always feel fortunate for having him as part of my life.

I worked with bob for a number of years & always enjoyed talking to him about fishing , hunting or whatever came up . We didn´t have much contact after retirement but I feel extremely fortunate that I was able to have lunch with him and other retirees about 2 weeks before he passed. We had talked several times on the phone about getting together to fish here locally but never seemed to work out. I will surely miss him R.I.P.

Bob has a passion for fishing & this year was 33 years our group did our annual trip to Kentucky Lake where we told stories, had wonderful meals & the fishing was serious & fun.
