Braeden James Reames, 22, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 3, 2025.
He was born on September 27, 2003 in Peoria to James P. and Jennifer L. Miller Reames.
Surviving are his parents, Jennifer Reames of Bloomington and Jim Reames of Washington; his siblings, Kaelyn Reames and James Reames; and his grandparents, Norm and Pat Miller and Betty Reames.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Reames.
Braeden graduated from Washington Community High School in 2022 and went on to earn a degree in Welding from Midwest Technical Institute. A talented and determined young man, he excelled at everything he set his mind to.
A lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, much to his mom's dismay, Braeden had a true love for baseball. He was passionate about many things, including fishing, golf (he proudly scored a hole-in-one at just eight years old while golfing with his grandpa), and more recently, shooting pool.
Those who knew Braeden knew how deeply he loved his family, friends, animals, fireworks and, of course, his beloved car. His kindness, humor, and genuine heart touched everyone he met. Braeden will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be announced when his family is ready.
