Robert (Bob) Griffith was born in Canyon City, Colorado on May 20, 1957. He moved to the Longmont area with his family and graduated from Niwot High School in 1975. He then attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Watershed Sciences. Bob spent his career in Denver at the Colorado Department of Health and Human Services in the Water Quality Control Division. After retiring in 2013, Bob worked part-time for 11 years at Cabela's in Lone Tree, Colorado.
Bob was an active member of Gideons International for the last 12 years of his life. He was also a member of the Valley View Christian Church in Littleton, Colorado. He loved reading the Bible and his life was a testament to his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Those who knew Bob remember him for being a lover of music, sports, dogs, the outdoors, hiking, golf, and gardening. He loved traveling the world with his wife, photographing everything as he went. His gentle spirit was seen in the ways he cared for others. He will be missed by all those who loved and found friendship with him.
Bob is preceded in death by both his parents, William E. Griffith and Barbara J. Griffith, his sister Ann (Jeff) Krieg, and twin brother, William G. Griffith.
The surviving family include his wife of 29 years, Karen, sister Kathleen (Tom) DiLeo, brother Matthew (Karen Stevens) Griffith, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 1 pm at Valley View Christian Church in Littleton.
Coffee and desert will be served afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Gideons International and/or Valley View Christian Church.
