Gary was born on July 5, 1959 in Fort Myers, FL. Prior to his illness, he worked as a cabinet finisher and was highly skilled and respected in his trade. Gary loved his family and especially his children. He enjoyed FSU football, country music and riding around the area with his best friend, John Renko. Gary also had a soft spot in his heart for cats.
He is preceded in death by his special grandmother, Ethel McLemore; grandfather, J.B. "Deck" McLemore; Uncle Bill McLemore (Trudy) and Uncle Bibb Kilpatrick.
Left to always remember him are his sons, John Edward Despard and Dillon Guidas; mother, Pearl Guidas (Garry Brendle); father, Frank T. Guidas, Jr. (Judy); brothers, Don Guidas (Julie) and Mike Guidas; sister, Cheri Dauphin (Darrel); Aunt Cathy Kilpatrick and Aunt Lois Watters (Don); Uncle Jim McLemore (Dana); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 10:00 A.M., at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Alex Palomaria and Don Guidas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parker United Methodist Church or Emerald Coast Hospice.

To all Gary family my prayers are with you'll.Gary will really be missed.Gary had alot of love in his heart for others..I will always remembers all the good times me and Gary shared together sitting at the beach sharing God's creation.And enjoying the the waves and sun.I knew Gary for along time and I Thank him for being my dear friend.When I spent time at his Mother's and Step Dad's house I'm so glad God gave me time with him during his hard time.Gary is now at peace with God and to know he want be hurting no more.And want to tell Michael also your brother love you and I know you will miss him.He will always be in your heart.And God will help the whole family thru there lost.

His mother Pearl is one of my friends and has got me through some hard times. I met Gary through her and spent some Thanksgivings with their wonderful family. You will be missed Gary, I will always remember your smiling face. May God give peace and comfort to Pearl, Garry and all the family. Lots of love and blessings, Lee and Paul.
