Robert "Jim" Gullickson

Robert J. (Jim) Gullickson, 73, strummed his final guitar cord on December 31, 2024, in the comfort of his home. Jim was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, on February 27, 1951, to the late Robert Gullickson and Janice Morgan Gullickson. Jim was a proud member of the Edgerton High School class of 1969. On September 8, 1973, Jim married Patti Schachtschneider at Trinity Lutheran Church in Edgerton. Jim worked as a Quality Technician at Dana Corp., Columbia Par Car and retired from Sub-Zero, Wolf in Madison. He enjoyed building things and over the first 40 years of their marriage, Jim and Patti rebuilt most of their 100-year-old home on First Street. Jim also loved playing the guitar and played with several "basement" bands in Edgerton. Above all, Jim was a supportive husband, proud father and loving grampa. Family always came first. Jim is predeceased by his brothers: Dean Gullickson and Mark Gullickson, parents: Robert Gullickson and Janice Morgan Gullickson, nephew Christopher Gullickson brothers-in-law: Steve Schachtschneider and Terry Schachtschneider. Jim is survived by His Loving Wife: Patti, dear sons: Jason (Jamie) Kratz-Gullickson - Beaver Dam, Justin Gullickson – Edgerton, cherished grandchildren: Wesley Kratz-Gullickson - Beaver Dam, Jameson Gullickson and Alyssa Gullickson – Edgerton, mother-in-law: Mary Lingo – Edgerton, Sister: Annette Gullickson – Alabama, sister-in-Law: Linda Schachtschneider - North Carolina, numerous loved nieces, nephews and cousins, very special sister-in-law: Pam Schachtschneider – Edgerton, treasured aunt Ruth Craker- Reedsburg and many band mates over the years who shared his love of music. Special thanks to Mallorie Buckner and the whole crew at Agrace Hospice, all of whom provided Jim with a comfortable transition into his next gig. Services will be Saturday January 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Edgerton. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of service at the funeral home. After services the family invites you to Henry Street Social, 110 Henry Street, to celebrate Jim and his love for music, food, and fellowship.
