Karen Lynn Wick Benz, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family members in Edgerton, Wisconsin on March 14, 2025. She was born on October 3, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Matthew and Betty Wick. She attended Pius XI High School and graduated in 1973. She lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for quite some time and then in 1989 she moved to Edgerton, Wisconsin. She worked at Wisco Industries for 31 years and part time for 20 years at Wal-Mart in Janesville, until she retired from both places in 2020. Karen is survived by her daughter, Tamara Wegert (Jeff Wegert), her two sons, Moses Benz and Jason Benz, her sister, Debbie Wick Hoffman, three granddaughters, Shari Wegert (Tarryon Carter), Danielle Hallmark (Calvin Hallmark) and Tanya Wegert, five great grandchildren, Devin Wegert, Jackson Hallmark, Aalyiah Jenkins, Kaiden Hallmark and Rapha Peksa, her nephew and god-child James Hoffman and many other nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Matthew and Betty Wick and her brother-in-law, Harry Hofmann. Karen was loved by many people. She loved her family and being with them during the holidays. Karen will be missed by each and every one of us. May she live in our hearts, and may we remember who she was, the influences and memories we all have of her and remember her always. May She Rest In Peace. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM on June 14, 2025, at her daughter's home located at 225 Edison Ave Janesville, Wisconsin for anyone who would like to share their memories and love with the family.
