TRIMONT: A Funeral Service for Robert L. Haggstrom, 87, of Trimont, Minnesota will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Fairmont Baptist Church in Fairmont, Minnesota. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Northfield, Minnesota on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
Bob was called to his eternal rest on Sunday evening, March 24, 2024 at Season's Healthcare in Trimont, Minnesota. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
Robert Lowell Haggstrom was born on September 27, 1936 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Clarence and Esther (Hagman) Haggstrom of rural Cannon Falls, Spring Garden area. Bob attended the Wastedo area (District #47) country school graduating from Cannon Falls High School in 1954. He spent most of his working life in some type of electronics service work (TV, VCR, computer terminal, ETC.) work. Bob attended and graduated from Brown Institute of Electronics in Minneapolis and Spartin School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, among others. He was united in marriage to Esther E. Marks in Oakland, California on September 10, 1966. Bob and Esther have two children, Cindy and Kevin. They have lived in several different states due to work and education requirements, with their ultimate return to their home state of Minnesota. Bob liked anything to do with airplanes, loved to read and made placemat runners and rugs. He also built two looms to make things with.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Haggstrom of Trimont, Minnesota; children, Cindy Womack and Kevin Haggstrom and two grandchildren, Matthew Womack and Sidney Haggstrom; great-grandson, Ryder Womack, Brandon Anders Jr., Curtis Yarbrough Jr., Khloe Yarbrough; brother, Ralph Haggstrom and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Esther Haggstrom; sister-in-law, Gerry Haggstrom and other relatives.
