I live in Roanoke, and just saw Bobby's obituary in the Progress. He and I were childhood friends, dating back to Johnson Elementary. They were a good bunch of buddies from the Mulberry Avenue area – I see Greg Hutchinson mentioned, and wonder if this is Greg from Center Avenue. When we became almost old enough to drive, Bobby and I bought mo-peds – and, of course, his was the Sears model. I didn't see him as much at Lane High – Distributive Education and Sears kept him busy. I was not surprised to see that he stayed with Sears until retirement. Recalling the old Sears, on North Main Street … . Impressions last, and I just recall Bobby from our youth as one of the finest guys I ever knew; and so I wanted to take a moment to say goodbye.

I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. I worked with Bobby at Sears when I was the Custom Decorator. He helped me many times, and was a great friend when I needed one. He earned the respect and love of everyone that crossed his path, and he will be missed forever. The good news is that I know I will see Bobby again in heaven, because he loved the Lord so much. May God's love give you comfort in the days ahead.

We are so sorry to hear of
Bobby's passing. He was a great guy!
We became friends through both he and Buddy being Sears employees. Bobby was one of the BEST employees the retail store has ever had.
We will miss him very much.

To the Hall Family: I am so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. We grew up a couple of streets away from each other and rode the bus to school. He was always such a pleasant person. My brother, Greg, kept us updated on Bobby's condition and I know he is going to miss him terribly. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you peace as you grieve the loss of your loved one.
