Robert "Bobby" Hampton

Robert "Bobby" Hampton, 61, died peacefully on July 15, 2025, at The Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on October 28, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Aaron and Juanita Hampton. Bobby was employed as a dye setter at A.O. Smith for 28 years before retiring. His activities included camping, attending yard sales, and playing penny casino slots and scratch-off tickets. He is survived by his son, James (Rachel) Hampton; daughter, Anna (Ricky) Gay; brother, Bill (Sue) Hampton; sisters, Dorothy Highfield, Doris Lawson (Randy), Lara Breska, and Kathy Smith; and one granddaughter, Jaylen Gay. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann Hampton; brothers, Darrell Chaney and Junior Smith; and sister, Wanda Moore. Funeral service will be Friday, July 18, 2025, at 1pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday before the service from 9am until service hour of 1pm.
