Robert David Hanff, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Helen Hanff; cherished son of the late Nita and Robert A. Hanff; devoted father of Shelley (Bill) Hines, Trisha (Ryan) Buenemann, and Melissa Hanff; loving grandfather of Eli Robert-William and Emily Madelyn; dear brother of Barbara Mitts, Dennis (Connie) Hanff, Brian (Kathy) Hanff, Brenda (Mark) Lehmann, Sue (Brian) Zumbehl, Nancy, and the late Michael Hanff.
Robert was an avid fisherman who loved chasing the bite of a largemouth bass and spending time on his beloved bass boat and at his lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks. A devoted family man, he cherished time with his loved ones and had a knack for tinkering with machines and all things mechanical. Known for his great sense of humor and sarcasm, he could be a bit hardheaded at times, but that only added to his endearing nature. He enjoyed going on cruises with Helen and had a deep appreciation for Western films, especially those starring John Wayne. Robert was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
